Grilled Pork - 3 steps only

We are in the weekend already. Times passes by so fast, don't you think?  I was stumped on what to cook. I did not want to barrage through recipes.  I had some pork and tried out something of my own with the help of the kids and everyone loved it. The point of this post is - allow inspiration, allow invention, thinking, trying. This will carry the kids far. Not only on feeding themselves later but in many other aspects of their lives.

Here's my recipe of Grilled Pork Spiced:

What you need:

Pork Chops - slice in half but not all the way
Blend onions, garlic and ginger, tomato and chili
Salt, pepper, curry powder, chili powder or paprika
Oil

Pork on Non Stick Pan
How to prepare
Calphalon Contemporary Nonstick 10- and 12-Inch Omelet Pans, Set of 2
Non stick skillet. Click if you need for information
Rub the blended ingredients into the pork
Rub the salt, pepper and spicy ingredients all over the pork
Allow a non stick pan to heat with oil - not to much
Lastly, place in the pork and allow to cook properly on low heat.

Mouth watering Spicy Pork

I finished it with some curry leaves to give it some great aroma and to flatter it with some added
 flavour.
Fresh Curry Leaves - Fresh South Indian and Sri Lankan Herb - Citrus Aroma
Serve with rice or bread or just eat it like that

Teaching Notes

1.  Look at the ingredients and invent a recipe - we decided on a spicy dish. You and and your kids can decide on something less spicy and western. For example, forget the curry powder and blended ingredients, just apply the salt and pepper and some olive oil.  No need for blended ingredients. Or if you wanted some filing - mix up diced peppers, tomatoes, herbs (chives, rosemary etc)

2. Encourage experimentation.

3. Math is always there - for younger kids - 1 teaspoon of this and 2 teaspoons of that etc. For older children, teach estimates.

Happy Teaching and Cooking!

  1. Thank you for visiting my blog. :D Your food looks soooo yummy!

I don't do it all. I'm not a very organized person. Some days I have my house together and some days it looks like a tornado hit it. lol. I just try to enjoy my kids.
